Many require the straight forward services such as accounts, VAT and TAX minimisation…. We deal with these in a cost effective way having regard to your personal circumstances and the specialities of the music business.

We act for bands where we don’t act for the manager and vica versa. Many bands like an accountant independent of their manager and many lawyers recommend it.

We like to make sure that all our clients provide for their tax and know well in advance what their tax liabilities will be. It’s not so good to be told just before Xmas that you have £100,000 tax to pay in January! It is in fact possible to know your tax liabilities a year ahead with a pro-active accountant.

Listed below are the different types of service we offer to the music industry….see where you fit in.

• Our premium service to major artists is a full financial management package. We will look after all your affairs with a high level of personal attention. We will get to know your individual requirements so we can make decisions about payments to be made. We will oversee your property interests, investments as well as all your day to day expenses just as you direct. We deal with all tax, accounts, Companies House, and VAT matters and set aside monies to pay your liabilities so you don’t have to worry. We will liaise with your legal advisors and attend all necessary meetings with them or your record or publishing companies. Our senior partner has acted as personal accountant and Trustee to major artists for over 20 years so you have the confidence of someone with a track record of doing just what you need. For this service we charge 5% of your income – simple and straight forward. A small price to pay for complete peace of mind and whatsmore with our management we will probably make you more than that as well!

• Mid range pro-active and planning. This takes you further than the basic end of year or quarterly services. We have monthly meetings with you to review the ongoing situation and your finances. This is particularly suitable for a fast growing business where planning takes a back seat. The discipline of our meetings that you commit to forces planning and reviewing to be done and this can reduce costly mistakes and helps the growth to be done on a solid footing.

• Standard accounts, tax and VAT package. For a fixed yearly fee we will just take these off your hands. You will be given envelopes to collate your receipts and send them to us on a quarterly basis. We will get copies of your bank statements sent directly to us or will have on-line access. We will then keep all your books and deal with your VAT and end of year tax and accounts. Whether you are a company, partnership or sole trader why not outsource this function leaving you to concentrate on the business.

• Economy end of year tax return and accounts. For a fee of just £395 we will do this for you with the benefit still of all our experience. You must provide us with income and expense summaries for the year and complete our (very easy) tax return questionnaire detailing other details such as bank interest, pension contributions…etc. Many small musicians and producers use us for this year after year.
